Evaluate Your Home’s Photos

Look through the photos of your home online again and approach them from a buyer’s perspective. Is the house nice and clean? Is the lighting in the photos good? Is it clear what room you’re in or is it evident what the layout of the house is? 

If the answer to any of these is “no,” then you might want to take some new pictures.

Double Check Your Asking Price

If buyers aren’t contacting you, it could also be because they feel that your listing price is too high and they don’t want to even tour your home. Double check what similar homes in your neighborhood have recently sold for. If your home has new renovations that justify a higher listing price, be sure to make that evident upfront. 

If Buyers Decide to Not Buy After a Tour

If potential buyers have come on a tour of your home, but then decided to not buy it, try to get feedback from them as to why they decided to go in a different direction. While it’s common for many people to pass on a home after a tour, you might find some consistent answers. For example, if you’ve moved all your furniture into your new home already, and you keep receiving feedback that your house seems “too small” you may want to consider renting furniture so it’s easier for buyers to see themselves living there.
